Weekly Update August 30th: Hurricane Harvey Help and Community Groups Expo

As I've been watching the impact Hurricane Harvey has had on the state of Texas, I can't help but think about the families who have lost loved ones, as well as their homes and belongings. The aftermath of the storms will cause long-term relief efforts.

If you are looking to figure out how to help, let me encourage you to help in 3 ways:
 

1) Serve. If you desire to go to Texas to help, check out www.namb.net/Harvey for ways you can help.

2) Give. Making a donation can help in so many ways. The North American Mission Board is a great place to donate: https://missionaries.namb.net/projects/full/hurricane-harvey-response

3) Pray. Let's all join together in praying for the storm survivors, first responders, and leaders in their respective communities.


Also, this Sunday is our Community Group Expo. Immediately following the worship service, you'll have an opportunity to get to know the Community Group leaders and a chance to learn more about the groups.

Jess Rainer is the Lead Pastor for The Church at Spring Hill. He has previously served on staff for three churches, two of which were new churches. He is also the co-author of the book, The Millennials. Jess received a B.S. in Finance from Murray State University and an M.A. in Christian Education from Southeastern Seminary. Jess is married to Rachel and has four children: Canon, Will (now with the Lord), Harper, and Collins.
