He is Risen!
This weekend, we are going to celebrate that Jesus willingly went to the cross, died, and rose again three days later. We are going to celebrate that Jesus' resurrection has changed the course of humanity for all eternity. It's going to be a wonderful weekend.
What can you do to prepare for this weekend? Let me give you a few things:
- Show Up! Make plans to attend Good Friday Worship Night at 6pm and Easter Sunday at 9am or 10:30am. As a reminder, we will have full kids ministry for both Easter services. Also, Good Friday Worship will be "family style," so we will not have kids ministry.
- Pray. Ask God to prepare your heart for this weekend.
- Listen. Our worship team created a playlist of the songs we are singing. Take a listen on either YouTube or Spotify. Start worshipping now.
- Invite. Use those invite cards from your "Easter invite kit" to invite someone to come to Easter worship with you. This is one of the most receptive times of the year for someone to come to church. Don't waste this season.
- Be Expectant. Come ready to worship, to hear from God, and to celebrate new life in Christ through baptisms (during our 10:30am service).
I can't wait to be with my church family this weekend. There is no other place I'd rather be than with my church family this weekend. Come expectant!
