Our friends at Shower Up (www.ShowerUp.org) have been working with the homeless in downtown Nashville for many years. Last night's tornadoes devastated the homeless.
We can help. There is an immediate need for three items:
- Tents
- Tarps
- Sleeping Bags
Starting today, we will begin collecting these 3 items in order to replenish all that was lost for those who already didn't have much. Any size and any shape of those 3 items will be accepted.
To donate, bring the items to The Church at Spring Hill's new facility located at 4922A Port Royal Road, Spring Hill, TN 37174. Since the building is under construction, there will be an outside drop off location. Look for the sign under the awning.
We will also collect the items this Sunday if you are unable to donate this week.
As soon as we get the items, we will be taking them to downtown Nashville in order for ShowerUp to distribute them to the homeless in need.
It's a small way we can begin to help that will have a large impact. Let's be a helping hand to those in need. And don't forget to pray 3 prayers at 3pm today.
