Online Service Only this Sunday

March 13, 2020

Dear Church at Spring Hill Family,

As we have continued to monitor the development surrounding the Coronavirus, the elders and staff met today to discuss the best plan of action as a local church. Our discussion led to our desire to walk the wise path of neither reacting to undue panic, nor acting in apathy.

During this meeting, it was decided to move to an online worship service for this Sunday at 10am, as a way to responsibly love those around us and our community. We will not hold an in-person worship service this Sunday.

This decision is for this Sunday only. With still a lot of unknowns surrounding the Coronavirus, we will take each week as it comes and make the best possible decision with the best possible information we have at the time.

Please know that this was not an easy decision to make. We hold a deeply held conviction that our local body of believers should gather regularly. We know the power that exists when believers come together to worship the Risen King and hear from His Word.

This decision is rooted in love. We seek to live out Matthew 22:39 – to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Our prayer is that this decision will eliminate any possible unnecessary exposure to those in our church and in our community, who might be at-risk to the Coronavirus.

For this Sunday, I hope you will plan to gather online at 10am. We will be hosting a Facebook Live service. Since this is our first attempt at any type of online service, please be patient with us. We will be sending out details tomorrow on how to watch. For now, make sure you go to https://www.facebook.com/ChurchatSH/ and click “Like.”

For those who normally give during our worship service, please take a moment to learn how to give online at https://www.churchatspringhill.com/giving/. You can also give by texting any dollar amount to “84321.”

Please continue to pray. Pray for healing for those who need healing. Pray for our medical community. Pray for our government officials. Pray for those impacted economically. Above all, pray for those who walk without the hope of Christ to take hold of the true hope that only comes through a relationship in Jesus Christ.

In Christ,

The Church at Spring Hill Elders
