Two New Changes for Sunday Worship

February 14, 2020

Every time I stop by our new church facility, I can tell we are getting closer and closer to finishing the construction! We are entering the final stages of construction, which means it won't be too much longer until we are in our new ministry launchpad.

Until then, we are going to make two new changes on Sunday morning as a part of our worship service that is going to enhance our time while we meet at Northfield Conference Center for a few more weeks.

First, starting this Sunday, we are going to have a Bible study during the sermon for our elementary age kids. Until now, they have been worshipping with us for the whole service and I've loved it! But we want our kids to have a time to learn the Bible in a way that is directly geared towards them.

So before the sermon, we will start dismissing Kindergarten through 5th grade for their own Bible study. We'll still have birth through PreK meeting for the entire service in the kids rooms as previous weeks.

Second, we are encouraging everyone to come early and build connections with each other before the worship service. Starting at 9:30am, we'll have coffee and donuts ready. Use this 30 minutes each Sunday before the worship service to get to know each other.

I know we're in a season of transition as a church, but there is so much gospel ministry that is happening every single week. Just because we don't have a facility, doesn't mean that God isn't working in some mighty ways. Great days are ahead!

I'll see you this Sunday. My dad, Dr. Thom Rainer, will be preaching from 1 Corinthians 10 as a part of our The Church: Defined series. Come expectant!
