Weekly Update October 20th: Our First Mission Trip // Challenge Completed!

From the very beginning days of The Church at Spring Hill, our mission has been to make disciples of the nations and our neighbors by belonging, thriving, and going. Over the past year, we have seen people belong in Christ, thrive in community, and going in service and mission.

Tomorrow, we take our first step as a church to go on mission to the world.

We are sending a team from our church to share Christ in word and deed to the people of Neply, Haiti. These are truly exciting times in the life of The Church at Spring Hill!

You all have already responded in amazing ways by donating supplies for the trip. We exceeded our goal of packing 10 suitcases full of supplies! Thank you so much for your generosity!

Now, I ask you to pray for this team. From 10/21 to 10/18, will you commit to praying daily for the strength, safety, and gospel-impact these individuals will have while in Haiti?

Let's all go on mission this week by praying for this team.

Jess Rainer

Jess Rainer is the Lead Pastor for The Church at Spring Hill. He has previously served on staff for three churches, two of which were new churches. He is also the co-author of the book, The Millennials. Jess received a B.S. in Finance from Murray State University and an M.A. in Christian Education from Southeastern Seminary. Jess is married to Rachel and has four children: Canon, Will (now with the Lord), Harper, and Collins.

Jess loves being a husband, dad, and pastor. When he’s able to squeeze in some time between these three things, you’ll find Jess working on Rainer Publishing, a small publishing company that he started with his brothers. If it’s a Saturday in the fall, Jess will be cheering on the Crimson Tide. And at some point in the year, you can find Jess on a Florida beach or snow skiing down the closest mountain.
